Privacy & analytics
Playing does not require analytics. Every game works whether you allow or decline it.
What the game stores
We store your player name, a protected password hash if you create an account, game records, ratings, chat, social preferences, reports and appeals. A necessary session cookie keeps your seat signed in for up to 30 days. Display and analytics preferences are saved in your browser. The iPhone app stores its session in the device’s Keychain and display preferences on the device. It uses no advertising identifiers, advertising SDKs, or native analytics SDK.
Public games and player names can be seen by other players. Private tables require an invitation or a participant’s session. Anyone with an invitation link may access that table. Avoid putting personal information in names, chat or reports.
Hosting and game records
The service runs on an OVHcloud server in the United States. Hosting necessarily processes connection information such as IP addresses. Security request limits use short-lived memory counters. Game records and account information remain on the server so you can return to them; database snapshots support recovery. Download important records as SGF.
Password recovery is not currently available. Do not reuse a password from another service. Guest access may be lost if you clear your browser or device data.
Deleting your account
Use Delete account in website Preferences or the iPhone app’s account screen. We remove your player name, password hash, sessions, table messages, social connections, and reports you submitted or that concern the deleted identity. Text you authored in scoring appeals is removed. Deletion cannot be undone.
Opponents retain game moves, results, and the rating ledger under “Deleted player.” An inaccessible internal identifier remains for those records and scoring corrections. An active game ends by resignation; a waiting table is cancelled. Restricted recovery backups normally rotate out within seven days. Other players’ saved exports or copies are outside our control.
Contact support@badukonline.com for access, correction, deletion, or other privacy requests. We may need information to verify that a request concerns your account; never email your password.
Optional Google Analytics
On the website, if you are 13 or older and choose Allow analytics, Google Analytics uses analytics cookies to measure visits and sends information about your browser and use of the site to Google. We send a general page category, not player names, passwords, chat, game IDs, invite links, or raw URL queries. Advertising features and automatic form and link tracking are disabled. Analytics cookies expire after 30 days.
Before permission, no Google Analytics script or measurement request is sent. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control are respected. You can decline or withdraw below; withdrawal clears this site’s analytics cookies and stops future collection. It does not erase data already processed by Google. You can also exclude this browser’s testing.
Google’s privacy policy explains Google’s processing. These measurements cover consenting visitors and are not a count of everyone who plays.
Service status
